shop online has been developed to assist people living in remote areas to have access to city style shopping. The owner of this unique site lives in a remote area of the Pilbara in Western Australia. The lack of retail outlets and difficulties in buying day to day items saw shop online grow from an idea to a useful resource for any shopper.

Leah Squire already owns a popular family travel website in Australia, so what made her create a sister site that relates to shopping? Leah and her family moved to the remote Pilbara region in Western Australia one year ago for her husbands employment. Its a booming industrial region where millions of tons of wealth are shipped daily. The Pilbara region supplies China with much of the worlds supply of Iron Ore. It's also home to the North West Shelf Gas Plant that supplies Gas to the Asian nations.

The Pilbara region is remote being 2000km's from the nearest city Perth, its surrounded by red sands, blue skies and ancient aboriginal rock art. There's no doubt it's stunningly beautiful but one thing it lacks is shopping.
